Friday Finds: 1.22.16

Happy Friday friends!

I’ve decided to start a new series on the blog called Friday Finds. A weekly spot where I will share some of the neat items, products, and services I’ve discovered.

This week, I’m super excited to share with you a new service that has been life changing.

LIFE CHANGING!

Superstore Click & Collect online grocery shopping.

Click and collect

Did I mention Click & Collect has been life changing for this busy single mom?

I typically leave my grocery shopping to the few times that I don’t have my kids. This allows me to browse in peace, reading product labels as required, and not having to worry about rogue boxes of fruit snacks or obscure unpronounceable ethic foods finding their way into my cart. I’m fairly certain that I’m one of the rare people who actually likes grocery shopping, so I was initially on the fence as to if I would truly enjoy doing my grocery shopping online.

Any reservations I had prior to trying out Superstore Click & Collect were quickly erased after logging on and checking out for the first time.

Click & CollectIt’s really quite simple! Log on to shop.superstore.ca, select your pickup location and time slot (cost for pickup varies, starting at a mere $3 depending on pickup time), and get shopping.

There are various ways you can shop:

  • Browse by aisle
  • Shop the flyer & deals
  • Search individual items from your shopping list
  • Browse by food category, or
  • Choose from your favourites

click & collectAt checkout, you’ll be prompted with some substitution options for your personal shopper regarding what to do if one of your selections is out-of-stock. This is also the place for you to leave any notes e.g., if you plan on bringing your own bags, etc.

Confirm your pick up time and location and you’re set!

Click & Collect will email you (and text you if you’ve enabled that option) confirmation that your order has been placed, how long you have to add or change anything in your order – for the inevitable random items that you’ve forgotten to grab, and they’ll email/text you again once your order is ready for pick up!

click & collectPick up is just as easy as the shopping was! Just pull into one of the designated Click & Collect stalls, call the dedicated Click & Collect number, and your personal shopper will bring load up your groceries and you’re off!

LIFE CHANGING!

Because I love my readers, and I want you to be able to experience this amazing life changing service as well, I’m offering up a $50 Loblaw’s Gift Card for one lucky reader! Enter below!

Yes I’ve tried a different online grocery service before a few years ago. I’d love to see how Loblaws compares to it.

  2. abbie guerrero says

I have bought protein bars on Amazon and food on Amazon but I have never actually done my full-on grocery shopping online.

  3. Sara Lima says

I have a superstore right by my house, and was considering using Overwaitea’s service – but maybe I’lll try superstore, instead! :)

  4. Katie McW says

I haven’t tried actually using click & collect, but I use the site regularly to ensure my grocery list is clear enough for the boyfriend & if the store carries obscure things!

  5. Jonnie says

I’ve ordered some pantry items from Walmart online but I can’t imagine having someone else pick out my produce and meats. I’m too much of a control freak for that!

  6. Sunshine G says

I’ve shopped online at specialty places but not at regular grocery stores…although I’m considering it!

  7. Bailey Dexter says

I have never done grocery shopping on line but my daughter does all the time & loves it! I will be ordering next moth for the first time.

I have never done my groceries online. I have shopped for a lot of online things but never groceries. I think I just like to pick out fruits and veggies myself.

No I haven’t tried it yet but I’ve heard a lot about it in the media lately. I think the concept is fantastic, especially for people like my grandparents who struggle with limited mobility, this could change their lives in such a positive, helpful way!

Interesting that they are doing the online shopping thing now. I shopped online for my groceries years ago, I think it was 2003 or so and it was through a middle man. They have since gone out of business but I loved it! They did the same thing, the website was set up like a grocery store and I just picked items from the various departments and they delivered with the best service. I think they were before their time! Since then I’ve tried SPUD and Thrifty Foods online shopping. I would shop Thrifty Foods online in a pinch without hesitation.
