2013 Holiday Gift Guide

If you haven’t realized yet, the holidays are fast approaching…

And by fast approaching I mean rapid, super, lightening speed approaching. Each day it seems I’m scratching my head wondering where the time went. But alas, it’s inevitable that Christmas will be here before we know it!

In anticipation of the holidays, I’m super excited to share with you some of my favorite things that I’ve found and loved this year in my 2013 Holiday Gift Guide. This gift guide includes a variety of things that I have come to love this year that will surely help you in your hunt for that hard to buy for shopper on your list.

PlaySkool SHOWCAM – This is a must have gift for any kid on your list this year! My kids and I have loved discovering all the super cool features of this 2-in-1 Digital Camera and Projector. It’s provided hours of fun, and is a must take item anytime we leave the house.

Google Nexus 7 – This tablet was a welcome addition into my house and will make an excellent gift for various people on your list! Not only is it budget friendly, but it’s super easy to use. In fact, my 5 year old had it figured out even before I did! It’s small in size as well as light weight making it an easy addition to my purse for outings where preoccupying kids is a must.

enCircled Chrysalis Cardi – As a busy mom of 2, it’s far too easy to let my wardrobe slide into “the mom zone” ie: yoga pants and a comfy sweater. No joke, this is often my post work uniform. So when I discovered the Chrysalis Cardi, my world was rocked! I have a few criteria when adding pieces to my wardrobe:
1. It must be easy to wash. Nothing frustrates me more than having to take an item to the dry cleaner after one wear,
2. It must be versatile. This one Cardi has endless style possibilities making it a serious win in my books. Bonus points for the fact that it’s sustainably Canadian made.

My Little Pony – A Very Minty Christmas – To say that my daughter is in love with all things My Little Pony would be the understatement of the century. I loved MLP when I was young, so it’s fun to see my daughter interested in the same things I was as a kid, but what I love the most is the message behind not only this story, but all of the MLP stories. All of the MLP plots are centered around friendship and this one is no different. It’s so important to have the message surrounding the true meaning of Christmas passed on to my children, even in ways that they probably don’t realize yet! This DVD is a definite must for any little girl (or boy for that matter) on your list!

Melissa & Doug Suspend – I love games. I’ve always loved games, so discovering games that I can play with my kids, and actually have fun playing are always a bonus! Suspend is a family game by Melissa & Doug, of tricky hangs and steady hands. I discovered this fun game at my recent trip to Mastermind Toys in Langley and even though it suggests players are aged 8+, my 4 and 5 year old enjoy stacking and balancing the wire bars. Set up and take down are easy which means the kids can play this easily with minimal assistance. Great for mine motor skill development as well as problem solving.

Reflex NutriCrystal Wireless Bluetooth Food Scale – This food scale is by far the Cadillac of digital food scales. A definite must have for any foodie on your list. Available in a host of appealing colors, the NutriCrystal food scale is fully automated and tracks & records your foods wirelessly and syncs through bluetooth to your smartphone or device. In addition, the free app gives you access to a variety of other functions like nutrient intake monitoring, nutrient facts table builder, insulin calculation, and a recipe library with cooking instructions. Not much this scale can’t do!
