Did you know that today is National Peanut Butter Day? Well, if you didn’t, you do now! We’re big peanut butter lovers over here, and it’s not at all uncommon to hear one of the kids asking for PB&J sammies for dinner on a regular basis!
I love the versatility of peanut butter. You can cook with it, bake with it, or eat it straight outta the jar!
Today’s lunch pays homage to one of our favorite spreads with a shake up of the classic peanut butter and banana sammie that I often had as a kid.
This lunch consists of a sliced peanut butter and banana wrap, flower cut cucumbers, a peanut butter crunch bar, strawberries, crackers, and cheese all packed up in an EasyLunchBox.
What are you doing to celebrate Peanut Butter Day?

A peanut butter and banana wrap should be tasty. It would be a blend of salty and sweet. Maybe I would even include some honey roasted peanuts in the wrap as well.
You asked for a menu idea and I think one of my favorite is peanut butter cookies. That’s not really a meal but those cookies are tasty, chewy and more filling than others.
When I know I want to do a lot of snacking, I make carrot sticks and have those with a peanut butter dip. The sweetness of the carrots complements the nutty butter well.

Oooh, that sounds good! I would never have thought to pair carrots with PB! Thanks for sharing!
