Today is the biggest kids first real day of school. I say real because last week he attended for a whopping 30 minutes for just one day. But, today is the real deal 8:55am – 3:00pm… Crazy…
So, for his first day he gets a back to school lunch themed bento complete with a notepaper sammie on Dempster’s THINS bread, accented with icing writers. Alphabet crackers for a literal snack, grapes, strawberries, cucumbers and carrots all packed in our favourite Easy Lunch Boxes.
It’s hard to believe my little man is off to school already. Here’s hoping he has a great day. As I’m sure all mom today are doing, I’ve been thinking about him non-stop, wondering what he’s been up to, but most of all – I hope he enjoys his back to school lunch!

That is a very nice back to school lunch! I am sure any child would be happy to see it. I will share this post with my daughter. She needs to pack better school lunches for her son.
I like the inclusion of fruits and veggies in the bento. This will surely make the meal healthy 🙂
My kids don’t like school lunches so I prepare their lunches everyday like this.
