Kids are weird.
Especially my daughter.
Madison is beautiful, witty, and smart, and wise beyond her years, but the damn kid can’t put her shoes on the right feet to save her life. I don’t know if it’s that she’s lazy, doesn’t know better, or just generally doesn’t care, but regardless of what I do, I can’t figure out how to get this kid to figure it out.
Enter emily press labels.
I’m not sure how it took me so long to discover emily press, but boy am I happy that I did. I’m always excited to discover awesome Canadian companies, and even more excited when they’re right in my back yard. So when the opportunity arose to test out some of their labels, I was very eager.
emily press labels come in a wide variety of styles and uses. Safety Labels, PreSchool Shoe Labels, Camp Labels, and Pencil Labels to name a few. emily press labels feature a super cute selection of graphics to customize your labels to just how you’d like.
After a while of humming and hawing over which style of labels to pick, I settled on the Preschool Shoe labels in Parade of Elephant design (18 labels [9 pairs] – Retail $10.95). These labels are waterproof and extremely durable with a built-in top coat. I am very impressed with how well the labels have held up after about a month of wear. The picture is still as good as the day it was applied, and the corners are not peeling at all. The idea with these labels are that you match the two sides to create a full image. The image will only be correct if the shoes are the correct way. Genius right why the hell didn’t I think of this? The smallest kid now very easily puts her shoes on the correct feet every time all by herself!
For the biggest kid, I opted for some Slim labels in Lil Owl design (80 labels – Retail @21.95). With Kindergarten starting in May I knew these would come in handy for all the bento boxes that I want to make sure find their way home each day! These labels have been equally as durable as the shoe labels. Applied, they’ve gone through the dishwasher and still remain securely affixed to their food containers and are as bright and vibrant in color as the day they were applied.
You know what else makes emily press awesome? They have a fantastic school fundraising program to help give back to the community. How great is that?! Owner Maureen McCartney also named the company in honor of her grandmother, to whom she shares her middle name with. Everybody now…
awwwwwwwweeeee!
I beg you to find me a reason to not support a fantastic local company like this!
As if they can’t get anymore awesome, the fantastic folks over at emily press are giving one lucky MoreThanYourAverageMom reader a set of Waterproof Slim labels, AND preschool shoe labels! Check out their new Dump Truck and Ladybug designs! Too cute!

Love the clothing labels! Children need variety in everything, be it food, toys, or their stationery. They spend a good deal of time in decorating their notebooks with stickers and labels. Idmelabels.com is the best way to decorate your kid’s various school items with quality kids school labels and make sure that your kid’s items are safe.
