Last winter, Glow Christmas illuminated Milner Gardens in Langley with the world’s biggest Christmas light display. It checked many of the “weekend family activity” boxes, so when I was invited back this fall for Harvest Glow Langley, saying no wasn’t even an option. This time however, I took my mom for a girls night out.
Glow Harvest is not just an event, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in the entry gates, you are welcomed by an awe-inspiring cascade of glowing lights framing peek-a-boo doors where the excitement awaits… That is, after you pass Food Truck row: home to poutine, mac and cheese and pumpkin spice mini doughnuts just to name a few.
The mom in me would call Glow Harvest a family affair, with the pirate ship playground, bouncy cow farm, miniature Glow-comotive train, singing pumpkins, petting zoo, LED hopscotch and more, guaranteed to keep your little ones entertained for hours. The mom in me also knows that the live entertainment, Harvest market with over 25 local artisans, boutiques and farms and three licensed bars make a great girls night destination. The romantic in me says Glow Harvest screams date night! Grab some sharable dishes from local food trucks and pose for that perfect selfie in the pumpkin patches or corn maze. Challenge your love to a game of mini golf, or lounge in the LED swings that cast a stunning glow when night falls. Enjoy all the magic and wonder of an outdoor event within the cozy and spacious four walls and a roof (read: No worries about driving out to Langley only to get cold and wet with our rainy Vancouver weather!), leave the gumboots, mittens and raincoats at home!
Seriously, there’s hours of entertainment under one roof and the best part is it’s affordable! Discounts are available for families, children and seniors, and kids under three are free! All activities are included in the price of admission which is an added bonus as well. Additionally, there’s a cap on the number of available tickets each night so you’re guaranteed to have space to move freely throughout the venue.
Glow Harvest without a doubt surpassed my expectations and I can’t wait to return as a family before it closes on October 31st, 2018. Head on over to their website and grab your discounted tickets in advance as many dates are already sold out.
Disclosure: I am a Glow Ambassador and as part of this partnership I’ve received payment in cash or in kind for this post. I do guarantee that all thoughts and opinions expressed within are mine and mine alone.
