How not to cook a frozen pizza

Yesterday, was one of those days.

Work was crazy… Work is always crazy, but more so right now than ever. I’ve accepted a new job within my company which leaves me with only 4 work days left and no replacement in sight. I’ve been swamped to complete projects and wrap everything up in time for my departure. 

I missed my bus at the end of the day, which allowed me about 25 minutes to get some extra work done. Well, wouldn’t you know it, the next bus left one minute early, despite the fact that I was sprinting in heeled boots after it waving my bags in the air like a crazy person. As it was already after 5:00pm and my kids needed to be picked up by 5:30pm or preschool would impose their ridiculous “fines” I decided to take a cab home. $15 dollars and a stinky cab ride later I was at preschool where they loaded me with 3 GIANT bags of kids stuff to walk home with (thankfully I live a stones throw away), so here’s me, haggered mom in heeled cute fall hoochey boots, loaded down with bags, walking home with two kids screaming while running circles around me.

I got home to the realization that we have no food. Not that we have no food, but given the day that I’ve had, and the amount of effort that I’m willing to expel at 5:45pm, we had no food. 

Thankfully I keep lazy meals emergency staples in the deep freeze, and was relieved upon opening the door to see a President’s Choice pizza. Our favorite! There was still hope that I’d be able to get dinner on the table before 6. Awesome! 

…Not so much…

**Please note that this was in no way the fault of President’s choice or their pizza. This is actually a super awesome pizza that is delicious, however it sat on the counter for longer than it should have prior to putting it in the oven which I believe was my problem. That and the world was against me today. This is in no way meant to be a negative review on a pizza we love. My kids still devoured it because as I said… It’s awesome!**
