Yesterday I posted about our new LunchBots containers that I was dieing to use, well, here they are in action! I gave the oldest child the Eco Green Large Container as he eats a little more than the smallest child. Madison got the Trio Stainless Steel Container as it’s a touch smaller for the petite one. Even with the slight size difference both kids got the same amount of food (basically, Nathan’s piece of chicken was slightly larger) I just had to arrange it differently. Either way, both lunches look super cute, will be super tasty, and fit far more into those boxes than I expected! I typically like to attach a label of some sort to their lunch boxes so each kid knows which is which, but as I didn’t want to put anything permanent on these I just attached a little circle sticker with the first letter of their names printed in it. Hopefully they can figure that out!
In addition to trying out new lunch containers today, I also decided to try out a new recipe that I’ve been dieing to make. I saw this pin on pinterest a while back and today was the day it came into action. Being as the kids daycare is peanut free I decided to make it with the super versatile SunButter that my kids can’t tell isn’t actual peanut butter love!! The recipe is super easy and uses all things that I happened to have in my fridge so it was a major win win! The greek yogurt that I used had honey in it so I omitted that from the recipe, so really it wound up being just three ingredients! Can’t go wrong with that! I’m not a huge fan of the dip, but I’m not really sure why. I’d like to try an at home only version with real peanut butter to see if it makes any difference. The kids really seem to like any kind of dip though, and given the simplicity of this recipe it’s still a winner!
I picked up some cute little sauce cups with lids at the dollar store and the bento gods were clearly shining down on me as they fit perfectly in my new LunchBots! YAY!! Hope the kids enjoy thier lunches!
Today is also the day that we pick up our international students! I could seriously squeel with excitement!
