I love hummus, however I’ve never been a huge fan of “raw” chickpeas, so I was excited to test out roasting them after seeing them pinned all over Pinterest. I was also excited to put my T-Fal Actifry to good use as I’ve been a little less than creative with it as of late. If you don’t have an Actifry I suggest you promptly get one… They’re awesome! If you can’t run out and get one, you can make them the old fashioned way, in the oven.
Roasted Chick Peas
Ingredients:
- 1 Can of Chick Peas
- 1 tsp Nutiva Coconut Oil (or other oil of your choosing)
- 1/4 tsp Seasoning Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
Directions:
- Drain and rinse chick peas. Lay out on a clean kitchen towel and pat dry.
- Toss all ingredients into actifry* and set for 20 – 25 minutes (I started with 20 minutes, and added another 5 to get them a little crispier)
- Enjoy!
Enjoy!

I love roasted chick peas. I like to add some balsamic when they are almost done, kind of like a glaze. Sooo good!

I make these all the time, but have never tried coconut oil or that combo of spices. Headed here from the PSMU on FB. Thanks for sharing!
