Today is supposed to be a big day in my house…
The first day back to school.
Parents everywhere are rejoicing at the thoughts of reading the morning newspaper, finishing their hot cups of coffee, peeing alone, and silence… Oh the silence of the front door slamming shut behind the kids that are happily bustling off to school.
Not only does today mark the first day of school, but it also marks the first day that I was to have two children in school full time. My smallest kid entering kindergarten and my biggest kid in grade 1. Sadly due to the ongoing teacher strike that ended the last school year early, my kids elementary school start date is up in the air.
While they aren’t going to school full time just yet, they are still in all day daycare which means I still have to pack lunches. In anticipation of the upcoming school year I made sure to stock the cupboards with some of my favorite bento supplies. As I’ve mentioned before, I love love love anything in mini, and so today it’s mini sammies for lunch with these new cutters from BentoUSA.
Today’s lunch consists of mini Sun Butter and jelly sammies, carrots, penguin crackers, mini potato pancakes, and a peach, packed in our Easy Lunch Boxes.
