So we’re officially into week 2 of having our students and as far as I can tell we’re all enjoying ourselves! I took my two girls, and three of their friends shopping downtown on Saturday. Lucky for me they gravitated towards a shop called Yokoyaya 123 which as far as I could tell is very similar to Daiso. While the girls shopped I picked out a couple of gems for myself. I got two new 2 tiered bento boxes. Ever since I picked up the one for my GIVEAWAY!!! (If you haven’t entered yet… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?! This stuff’s awesome!! …Don’t worry, this post will still be here when you get back!) I’ve wanted one for my kids.
Freaking cute, no?! |
I indulged in some other little bento knick-knacks as well that you will see in the coming days! And yes… I’m fully aware that I’m beginning to have a problem…
The girls and I had a super early 4am wake up this morning so that they could catch a ferry off to Vancouver Island for the day. It’ll be a long one for them, but I’m sure they’ll have a blast! Their trip inspired today’s bento, and so we landed with a simple boat on the water atop a tuna sammie. I tried out the DIY pocket sammie tutorial I saw over at Cute Food For Kids. Sadly, it turned out to be a big fat fail for a couple of reasons… I thought that it would be way easier to put the tuna in first and seal around it, and second because my bread was more than 2 days old and I didn’t bother with the nukeing part… Ah well… I’m sure it’ll still taste good! So, without further ado, here you go!!
…You entered the Giveaway right?! Good… I knew you did! 🙂
