To put it nicely, our weather lately has SUCKED. Non stop rain, cold, and just overall gloominess. May-cember is over but sadly, it has paved the way for June-uary.
This bento was inspired by memories of the sun, and the desire to create a lunch for the kids that was more than just another plain ole’ sammie. Our nextdoor neighbour (from our rental house) used to always make the kids waffles with peanut butter for lunch when she babysat, so I decided to spin her idea by cutting a chocolate chip waffle in half filing it with cream cheese and jam for this non-traditional sammie.
In this bento: Chocolate chip waffle with cream cheese and jam, sliced strawberries, cucumber wrapped grape kebabs, rice clouds, nutrigrain bar, yogur, juice, and cereal for breakfast (not pictured) |

Thanks Mande!
Glad you like it! The kids really enjoyed it, and anything that makes the kids happy makes me happy!

Love the sunny lunch! I have the same complaint about the weather where I am too. June-uary pretty much sums it up here. Madison is too cute! I should get my kiddies to “serenade” Mr. Sun so he can come out and play. 😉

Pretty sure a good serenade fixes anything! 🙂
