Today’s lunch is brought to you by the letter P! P is for Penguin, and Penguins are a Plenty in this lunch! I absolutely love penguins and think they are just the cutest little creatures in the whole world.
FUN FACT: Did you know that male Emperor penguins will incubate their eggs for two months in the winter without eating while the females are at sea. During that time, they live off their fat reserves and may lose half their body weight. When the females return shortly after the chicks hatch, they switch parental duties and the females fast while the males go to sea to replenish their fat stores.
Ya, I know… If you’ve watched happy feet 8,000 times like I have, you likely knew that already!
Anyways, today’s lunch is further proof that a) you don’t need cute bento tools to make cute lunches for your kids, and b) a cute lunch can be made in 10 minutes or less… In fact, I made three lunches in 10 minutes or less with this one!
Today’s lunch consists of a SunButter and Jelly sammie, a brownie penguin (from our favorite President’s Choice Brand), Penguin Crackers (also PC), carrots, raisins, and apple sauce in little penguin cups.
