Today’s lunch is back to our regularly scheduled programming! “L” is for Lion! This lunch consists of Edamame Lima beans, “L” carved apple with raisins underneath, our favorite Letter pretzels and Loaded ketchup chips from PresidentsChoice, a cucumber and cream cheese Lion Sammie, and Leftover Pasta, all packed in our new LunchBlox!
I recently (read: arrived in the mail yesterday… Yes, I was that excited to put them to use!) received 2 sets of Rubbermaid LunchBlox from Rubbermaid for a review and giveaway. As mentioned, I was very excited for this moment! I’ve had my eye on these super cute containers for a while so to finally get to play with them out of the box was very exciting! So exciting in fact that I put off watching the season premier of Survivor so that I could make lunches first! Yes people… They’re that good!
- The lids interlocking mechanism are nice and snug, but still easy enough for my 4 year old to use independantly.
- All parts are interchangeable and lock into each other. I can order the food containers however I see fit and depending on what I’ve sent in the lunch I can put the ice block on the top, middle, or bottom!
- The footprint is small making it easy to fit in a variety of lunch bags, however you can fit a TON of food in the containers so you don’t have to sacrifice having a small lunch so it can fit into a bag!
- You can buy the containers separately and at reasonable prices. If you want to pic up just 2 condiment containers you can! This makes this product totally adaptable to families individual needs.
- Each container is labelled with the volume. I really love this because it makes it easy to tell exactly how much food you’re putting in the containers. I suspect this would be great for if you were doing a make ahead recipe! Preportion in the sealed cups for when you’re ready to go!
- All containers are durable and leak-proof, microwave/dishwasher/freezer safe, and of course BPA free!
**DISCLAIMER: Dispite my desire to be paid for my charm and wit, I was in no way compensated for this review. I was however given 2 containers free of charge to review. While you may agree or disagree with me, I assure you, all opinions expressed within this blog are mine, and mine alone!**
Enjoy!

Oh, containers of adorableness!! I love little containers and these are extra cute! My fave feature is the ice block. It gets so hot here [105+], just an insulated bag is not enough for cooling. I would buy an extra ice block or two to keep things really chillin’.

I think the little ones would be great for pre-portioned snacks! Unlike baggies, chips won’t get crushed, and I can have some in advance for her at school, in case the class snack isn’t safe!
