{REVIEW} Part Deux! Rubbermaid Lunch Blox Salad Kit

If you haven’t checked out my review of the awesome Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit head over and check it out! In addition to the Sandwich Kit, Rubbermaid generously sent me the salad kit to try out as well (in addition they gave both a Sandwich Kit and Salad Kit away to one of my lucky readers!).

I’m not going to lie, I was more than a little skeptical about loving this kit for use in my lunches as when I eat a salad for lunch, I like it to be LARGE. My SmartPlanet container (Click HERE for the review) is great for salads as it holds my toppings separate from my salad, and the large compartment holds FOUR CUPS!! Now that folks, is a large salad! Well… Call me surprised when I was stuffing my Rubbermaid LunchBlox Salad Kit full of lettuce only to realize that I had just emptied out half of my box of salad! In the interest of high tech science, I grabbed “the other guy” to compare sizes and the Rubbermaid LunchBlox Salad Kit actually held MORE lettuce! I was dumbfounded! Now, thanks to the handy dandy measurements on the side of the container itself I knew that it could hold 4 cups, but for some reason the 4 cups this holds is actually more than the 4 cups “the other guy” holds… Don’t ask me how this is possible people, I’m no scientist or mathematician!

Anyways, if you haven’t come to the conclusion yet, it’s safe to say that I love this kit too! The footprint is quite small so it fits easily into my purse, but would also fit perfectly into one of those cute little RW&Co. shopping bags that I love ~~because they’re so small they allow me to sneak clothing into my house without my husband noticing~~.

The top of the Salad Kit has a little insert that perfectly fits a little salad dressing container, and then has two other partitions that I put my tuna, and roasted soy beans and goat cheese in. Perfect! To add a little extra protein and another veggie serving, I snapped on two of the small side containers from my Sandwich Kit to house a 1/4 avacado and some carrots. Salad love people… Salad love!
