This post brought to you by Insurance Hunter. All opinions are 100% mine.
April is a landmark month for me. It’s the month I’ve been waiting for, for nearly 5 years. It’s the month by which I will make the last payment on my car!! Might seem like a pretty minor milestone, but being as this is the very first vehicle that I’ve ever had a payment on, my impending “raise” has me excited!
Just after I had my first child (read: 4 days post pardum) I bought my dream car, a Dodge Charger. This car is a beaut! Now, nearly 5 years later, we’ve added one more child into the mix, and while I’m still madly in love with my car, it’s just not cutting it for if I ever need to transport 5 people (due to two of said people being in bulky car seats).
I’ve never been a big fan of purchasing a show room floor, new vehicle, as I feel like you get a better bang for your buck by going used, so when we start the hunt for a new car we’ll be hunting used. With working full time, and having two kids in tow at all other times, it’s great that you can now easily shop for your used car from the conveniece of your own home, online, whenever you want! As with all things online, you need to ensure that you’re using your common sense so you don’t get ripped off. Insurance Hunter has done the leg work for you with their article Looking to buy a used car? Use common sense when shopping online.
This article has some great common sense tips on how to safely hunt for your new, used car online. One point that you should pay particular attention to is to never, NEVER send money for a car online, especially if you haven’t seen the car in person to begin with. I’ve heard so many horror stories of people sending money through online methods to “secure” the deposit on the car, only to never hear from the “seller” again after the deposit has been made. Oy… Try to remember that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
And don’t forget, Insurance Hunter does auto insurance too, so once you find your dream used vehicle make sure to head over there for all of your insurance needs!
Happy Used Car Hunting!

Congratulations on the last payment on your car! I’m sure you are feeling much relieved now. Buying a used car and that too online can be very risky and hard. Thanks a lot for sharing all these helpful tips.

Wow, thanks for this post!
I actually am in the market for another car, and I’m weighing whether to go new or used. I do agree that used cars are more affordable, and I know new cars depreciate in value hugely as soon as you drive them off the lot. But it seems like around where I live at least (Chicagoland), used cars of any quality are almost as expensive as new cars. It seems like I could just spend an extra two thousand and get a much better warranty with a new car.
It’s definitely something I’m going to consider all sides of though, so I’m really pleasantly surprised to find a post on this topic here. Thanks!

Used cars have a level of comfort and convenience that is rivaled by other automakers. Many times used cars cost less than comparable cars yet tend to retain their value longer which results in a higher resale value.

Before buying any car whether it’s used or brand new,you must take care of some things. If it don’t have a insurance package then you must buy it. For more information on car insurance-http://topquote.ie/

Figuring out to buy second hand cars will save you finances compared to selecting a brand new automobile. In case you don’t have a large financial budget to pay for your automobile, you may likely notice that previously owned automobiles are a great offer and take advantage of the money you save to cover other expenditures or as advance payment if possible.
