You may recall my random ramblings about the 5 reasons I was so excited to start my Christmas shopping this year. This past weekend, while the smallest kid was at her breakfast with Santa I took the opportunity to spend some quality time with the biggest kid at Coquitlam Centre.
Our first stop…
The RBC Avion Holiday Boutique of course!
We ditched our coats and umbrellas at the free coat check, grabbed a coffee and hot chocolate complete with whip cream, marshmallows, and minty chocolate chips for the big kid from the VIP Lounge and Café (also complimentary to all RBC Avioners!), and off we went to hit the shops. I’m a bit of a power walker, especially given that the smallest kid had to be picked up in an hour and a half, so not having coats and bags in tow was a nice bonus, as was the tasty caffeine and sugar kick that added a little spring to our steps!
We hustled around from shop to shop, quickly filling our arms with bags of toys and gifts. With the clock running down quickly we popped back into the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique to have our presents gift wrapped while the we sipped on our refilled bevvies and snacked on some mandarin oranges. The VIP Lounge had both Christmas movies playing as well as a selection of Christmas books for us to read, well decked out in Holiday cheer there was plenty to see and do just in the Boutique!
Once our gifts were wrapped, we grabbed our coats and bags and headed out to pick up the smallest kid.
Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t spend all day in the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique, but thankfully it’s open until December 31st, so I will definitely be heading back before, and likely after Christmas too!

p.s. Did I mention they have valet parking?! Well they do! Only being the creature of habit I am, I parked in the side of the mall that doesn’t have it! Whoops! You can bet I won’t be making that mistake again!

That all sounds great – no coats while shopping AND leaving with wrapped gifts!
Even with kids in tow, that sounds delightful. I hardly shop at malls anymore because of that reason. This makes it so much nicer 🙂
