Last night was a late one as I worked until 6:30, stopped off to pick up a super exciting item for an upcoming giveaway, a coffee visit with a couple of Heart Momma’s at Children’s hospital, a visit to an unexpected sick little man that my kids used to go to daycare with, and a late night MRI for my knee (holy crap that machine is all kinds of noisy!). Needless to say, when I finally got home after 11pm the last thing in the world I felt like doing was making lunches, never mind making them cute! That’s where the wrap comes in. Seriously, these are on my top 10 favorite lunch items menu as they’re so easy, and the kids really love them! Nutritious, delicious, easy, and cute to boot?! Win-win if you ask me! Today’s wraps were made with whole wheat tortillas, chicken deli meat, cream cheese, and guacamole skewered on adorable little animal picks.
In this bento: chicken wraps, bear paw cookies, popcorn, snap peas, grapes, fettucini |

I’ve been wondering, not so much with today’s bento, but with other days that are specific shapes – do they really look like that when your kids eat them? After they have been upside down in a school bag etc.?

Great question Nicole!
Any small accents I try to “glue” on with condiments like mayo so that they’ll stay in place. I also pack my lunches together in one flat bag so that they stay flat. Because my kids are in preschool it’s not a problem. Once the kids are in kindergarten I’ll have to get different lunch bags.
