As a busy, on the go mom, I’m always looking for ways to make life a little easier. Two of the things I spend the most time on in my house are cooking and cleaning…
Ok… who am I trying to kid… I clean as little as humanly possible, but I do cook, alot!
So finding ways to save time and increase efficiencies in the kitchen means that I get to spend less time cooking for the people I love, and more time being with the people I love.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being in the kitchen, and I love cooking and baking as a whole, but the time it takes to meal prep after a busy day at work while trying to manage two hangry kids, homework, dog walks, afternoon chores and all the other fun things that come with single parenting leave much to be desired.
This brings me to this #CookingHack. Not only will this quick trick save you time, but this slight variation takes a typically daunting task and makes it fun, and easy for little hands to help with.
So grab a spare mason jar, two same sized bowls, and a head of garlic and give it a try!
Have you tried this #CookingHack before? What’s your go-to, fail proof #CookingHack?

Wow that’s an excellent tip. You’re so right prepping takes so much longer than cooking or baking. I’m going to try out this immediately as I tend to use lots of garlic in my cooking.
Let me know if it helps! We use a lot of garlic too so it’s a great little tip!
An amazing cooking hack from an amazing cooking expert mom! I am going to tell this to my mom so she get some relaxation while cooking food for our family. it will be a little from my side for my mom. Thanks to you!

I’ve seen this trick a couple of times in Facebook but it’s cool to know how moms really benefit from it.
Whooa! Such a genius tip you’ve shared! I’m always struggling to peel garlic- one by one and it takes me forever. It’s even worse when I have a couple of bulbs. I love this!

This is such an awesome trick to have up your sleeve! I have my handy dandy garlic press, but have def been in the middle of cooking dinner when the handle snapped so this is good to know!
I’m one of those weird people who likes to actually chop my garlic by hand still!
Oh, I must use this one! I hate peeling garlic. I love garlic though so I do it. No, no more peeling for me! Thanks for the tip!

Great hack..! That would be so helpful..! Peeling garlic after pounding it with knife is a little messy. And took more time. I will definitely try this hack.. Thanks..!
I totally agree! That’s what I used to do before I found this method
Such a great hack. I tend to shy away from buying fresh garlic to avoid having to peel it. I will certainly give your technique a try.
I peel a whole bunch this way and then put it in a reusable container in my fridge. It’s great!
