I LOVE TRANSIT!! And you should too!

Ok, so perhaps I’m slightly biased being as TransLink is partly responsible for putting food on my table, but in all seriousness, I do love transit! Born and raised in North Vancouver I remember taking the bus to and from elementary school when it was 50 cents, and in high school, religiously commuting on weekends to Richmond to visit my boyfriend prior to getting my license. And now, as an adult I take transit to get to and from work, as well as on weekend outings with my kids.

If you’re not aware, this week is “I Love Transit Week” and in celebration, TransLink has been sharing interviews, essays, and rider submissions of why you love transit. You can view this years Transit posts on the Buzzer Blog. This year’s I Love Transit week garnered much media attention when a super cute local(ish) couple who met on a TransLink bus proclaimed their love by being wed on a TransLink bus! You can also see my TransLink’s biggest little fan (who just so happens to be my biggest little love) featured on the pages of this months edition of the Buzzer! (pictured above)
