I tested these cutters out at home first. They were definitely smaller than I was expecting when I opened the package, this was definitely a case of “picture enhanced to show details” kind of thing, however I take blame as I likely didn’t read the size in the description. Regardless, they are still super cute. I made sammie’s (shocker) as a test. One PB&J and one grilled cheese. The cutters definitely worked better on the PB&J than the grilled cheese as they were harder to get through the toasted bread. I suppose I could have individually precut the bread and cheese and pieced it together to grill, but that just seemed like too much work! Also, the little faces that you press in didn’t show up well on the grilled sammie. All in all I’m very happy with them!
For the kids lunch I decided to mouse-ify some watermellon that was on it’s way out. Nathan will eat anything, but the shrimp isn’t a big watermellon fan so I’ll see if I can sneak it in, in mouse disguise!
In this bento: Ham and cream chese roll ups with safari animal picks, heart shaped half eggs shaped with egg mold, banana, veggie rice, and mouse shaped watermellon cut with the new punch. Juice, rice crispies (Breakfast) and fruit granola bar.
