I’ve always believed that everything is better when it’s in its small form. Puppies, mini doughnuts, two bite brownies, and those itty bitty chocolate bars are among some of my faves. So it shouldn’t surprise me when it appears that my kids are following suit in my love for the little.
I swear my kids are the only children on the planet to not like pizza, except for when served in mini fashion, much like in today’s bento lunch. Only then do they always want more!
I love these mini za’s for more reason than one. Not only are they quick, easy, and loved by my kids, but you can make a pile of them to freeze and pull out as needed for times when you’re strapped for lunch ideas, or time!
The inspiration for these was simply spotting bagged pizza pepperoni and English muffins on sale at the grocery store! I made these a little nontraditional as I used left over pasta sauce as a base, one slice of pizza pepperoni and cheese. I baked these tasty little guys until the cheese was melted, waited until they were fully cooled and then put them in a reusable, resealable container in the freezer. Like pizza, these are super versatile and could be made with a variety of toppings to suit anyone’s taste! I will definitely be making these agian!
In this bento: Mini pizza, cookies, cut strawberries, mickey mouse shaped lemon loaf, letter pretzels, apple sauce, banana, cars fruit snacks, juice, yogurt drink, and cereal (breakfast) Enjoy!
