Today we decided to check out a park that was a short drive away in our new neighbourhood. So glad we did!! It’s a big beautiful park with a small playground, a walking track that’s about 1 km and goes around a great little fishing lake. The kids loved tossing rocks into the lake, seeing a man de-hook the fish that he had just caught, chasing geese, and picking raspberries off the bushes. The park was full of people walking their dogs, playing with their kids, jogging and fishing. There were even some older men who were sailing their mini motorized boats! So cool!
This little park visit inspired today’s lunch! It was super easy too which was a major bonus seeing as we got home from the park right at lunch time! (Hubby looked at me sideways when he saw that he had a plate too… He’ll convert, I know it!)
In this lunch: Octopus hotdogs with edible marker faces, shell pasta with cheese sauce, marble cheese fish, and penguin crackers |
Enjoy!
