It’s SHOWTIME with the Playskool #SHOWCAM 2-in-1 camera

We have been so amazingly lucky with the Vancouver weather as of late. Crisp, but not too crisp, sunny fall days mean that we can continue outdoor activities leaving our umbrella’s at home. This is great news as we recently received a SHOWCAM 2-in-1 digital camera and projector designed especially for kids!
I decided that an outdoor photo scavenger hunt was was in order. I printed out a sheet of recognizable images that I knew could be found in our neighbourhood, gave it to the best behaved smallest kid, and off we went on a photographic adventure!
We snapped some photos, took a playground break, snapped some more photos and headed for home.
End of photographic adventure, no?!
But wait… There’s more!
The quick flick of a lever on the side of the SHOWCAM and our little camera turned instantly into a projector!
“Quick Nathan! Come here and I’ll show you my pictures!”
Madison grabbed a dark spot in the house and Nathan watched intently while she showed him all the pictures from our scavenger hunt!
Endless amounts of fun to be had!
No surprise that the SHOWCAM is a PTPA Winner, it’s a winner in this house too!
Thanks to the amazing folks at Playskool, YOU can enter to win your very own Playskool SHOWCAM 2-in-1 Camera! Just in time for Christmas!!

What a great post, Sarah! I love the idea of heading out on an outdoor scavenger hunt! It’s so cool that you were easily able to project your findings. The 2-in-1 feature is so neat!

My daughter would have so much fun with this camera. I love that it’s also a projector — I’ve never heard of this before but it’s such a cool idea.

Love your photo scavenger hunt. I love that it’s simple and durable. and the fact that the kids can projet it onto the wall for their own little slide show with others is great.
