Much like a wedding, the big day has finally arrived. Hours upon hours have been spent preparing for today. New clothing and accessories have been purchased to ensure everyone looks great for this joyous occasion. Camera’s are ready, meals in order, and don’t forget the parent’s big speeches. Today is the day that the kids go back to school… That is, most kids! My kids however are still in preschool, so today is really no different than the rest for us! That being said, I still wanted to take part in the fun back to school activities, even if it really only means before and after school kids will again be attending the kids preschool, traffic will be heavier, and fall will quickly be upon us.
I decided to do a bit of a thematic unit for the month of September (we’ll see how long this lasts!) so today, with the start of the new school year, brings the letter “A”.
In this bento we have our favorite PC brand alphabet pretzels in an animal container, apple shaped grilled cheese sandwich, applesauce with a carrot “A” in it. Avocado cubes with animal picks, alphaghetti, and a peach with an “A” cut into it!
The biggest kid caught a glimpse of this as I was making it and was so excited! That’s what this is all about!
