Well… I guess it’s more like Lions, Edamame, Grapes, and Teddy’s… Oh My!
Seriously… I impressed myself with this one! And the shocking part is that it was SUPER easy! My pantry is getting seriously low, so I’ve had to resort to making due with my freezer stock pile… Which, coincidentally is also getting low! I found some rotini that the kids loved (and turned out to be a great meal planning dinner at the time as it started out as taco ground beef, then the next night it was sloppy joe meat, and the last night it was pasta sauce!) and decided to incorporate it into today’s lunch! Lots of creativity for not much food in the house!
The tiger head is made of a jam and cream cheese sammie, cut with a bowl (needed a big circle and this is all I had!) The face features are made of nori and cheese, edamame beans are in the silicone cups, and teddy graham’s in the teddy cup. There are also halved grapes at the side. In hindsight, I’d probably do a plain cheese sammie, or just buttered bread if I was to do this again as I’m pretty sure the jam sammie is going to taste like beefy pasta by the time the kids get to it, but hopefully they don’t mind! I am sure the kids will like it as much as I enjoyed making it!
In this bento: Jam and cream cheese sammie, leftover ground beef pasta, edamame beans, graham crackers, grapes, juice, cereal (breakfast) |
Enjoy!
