Thankfully I survived and made it back to bento another day!
Today’s bento is brought to you by the letter Q. I had two ideas for Q, both of which were out of the realm of things I’ve done before. The easier option Quail Eggs won as they’re are just too cute for words, in my opinion. The other option was Quinoa, which you will be seeing on the blog soon as I’ve got a couple fantastic recipes that I’m dying to try out.
So, the top tier of this cute strawberry bento is a little birds nest made with quail eggs in spaghetti. These little guys are a major pain in the ass to peel cute and the perfect size for the kids. I’m told however that they’re not super easy to find though so make sure you plan your shop accordingly and perhaps look at an ethnic foods market if you have one. This lunch also has mini crackers, a Q babybel cheese, leftover homemade chicken fingers, and a sliced pear. Yum!
