Well, I suppose fall has finally arrived in Vancouver. This year has been a funny one in that summer seemed to have taken forever to arrive, but when it came it was amazing. Beautiful warm days that lasted forever.
Then.
Just as soon as summer arrived.
It left.
Seriously. And right on time too. The “official” first day of fall had a chill to it, the sun seemed to take longer to rise, and you could just tell that it wasn’t summer anymore, even though the day prior was a beautiful sunny hot day.
Vancouver is infamous for rain. I overheard someone say the other day that the oceans fell from the heavens that day, and another person commented that she wore her water wings to bed one night, just in case!
Today’s forgotten lunch (it was actually made one day last week but didn’t post for some reason!) is inspired by the rain we’ve been having. This lunch consists of a chicken sandwich cut with a cloud-ish shaped lunch punch, rain shaped cheese colored with icing writers, 1/4 apple umbrella, and left over noodles! Delish!
Things I used to make this lunch:
Enjoy!

Super cute idea. I love the umbrella! We get a LOT of rain where I live and thought about doing something like this. Won’t be as cute as yours though. 🙂
Happy Packing!
