I can still remember my very first CD. It was Nirvana Nevermind, and I purchased it from one of those mail order services where you pick 8 CD’s for only $0.01, the CD’s are then mailed to you and you always wind up with an exorbitant bill at the end.
I can also still remember my mom being horrified with the fact that there was a naked baby on the cover of my first CD, but I guess she got over it because I listened to that thing on loop for a long time. In fact. I’m almost certain I still have it kicking around the house somewhere!
While I have to admit, I do love how accessible digital music has become, I’m often left wondering what to do with all my old CD’s that are still in perfect shape.
